Shh… (a story of quiet love)

“Drinks with a great friend! So nice to catch up!”
That was the caption chosen for a sixth month anniversary. Instead of posting what was truly happening, there was a fear that had to be covered up by a lie. Is it a lie? A lover can be considered a friend, and sure catching up was probably great! So it was not a lie, you just didn’t hear the entire story. Nothing wrong with that. Right?
“Hikes are worth it for these views” What was meant by that was hikes are worth it when you can be your true selves for a couple of hours. I wish that we did not have to venture miles from others in order to do it, but at the end of the day a walk to be with you is better than a walk without you.
“Summer skies” I wish I could have told them about our joking of the irony of the double rainbow over the parking lot that we were in. We had just finished shopping, picking out a birthday present for your mom. Only one of our names will be on the tag, but someday mine will fall under yours. Hopefully.
“Catch me at the river all summer” I really hope that they never catch us at the river this summer. Hopefully the poetic irony of this caption doesn’t allow suspicion. A sort of hide it in plain sight type of psychology that I have never been able to understand. Hopefully next summer, they won’t need to catch us. Maybe I could even post a picture of us sitting on our favorite heart swing, with the same caption, but “us” instead of “me”. Ugh, maybe I should delete this one. It could lead to suspicion.
