The Stage

I decided to incorporate a video of a real staged home that was listed on the market and a realtor walking through it. As you can see, staging involves depersonalizing the home in order for a new family to feel as if they can make it their own. Between the furniture and decoration within the home, it can feel brand new and modern to potential buyers, and essentially more appealing.

Why do we need to imagine a family in a home?

Who is Little Tiffany?

As the realtor says, this is Little Tiffany’s room. Do we all have a Tiffany, someone who the ideal would follow, a perfect little girl in a perfect little room?

Something to think about in terms of a staged home: Does the family we imagine living in the home also follow ideals that are not realistic?

Why do we feel the need to do this, to make things more appealing?
